In our ski areas Meransen-Gitschberg-Jochtal and the nearby vanguard ski centers Kronplatz, Plose and Val Gardena with the legendary Sella Ronda will live up to all your expectations:
Skiing, snow boarding, sledding, winter hikes, snowshoe hikes, ice climbing, curling, cross-country skiing, horse sled rides, alpine ski tours as well as the South Tyrolean Skihütten Zauber (literally translated: ski hut magic) and Après Ski.

The winter sport area around the "Gitsch" is located at the ideal elevation of 1400 to 2500 meters above Meransen.

Located directly in the center of Meransen are two small T-bar lifts, each taking you up to a practice slope to provide you with the perfect introduction to a fun filled week in the snow. Alongside a narrow forest slope, the Gitschberg also offers wide, open slopes, giving lots of room for boundless skiing fun.

For your winter fun the ski area offers slopes suited to top skiers and beginners alike. Even during high season you will experience short waiting times at the lifts.

The ride on the four seat chair lift ends directly at the Gitschberg summit cross, where you can get your bearings by enjoying the view of the beautiful mountains surrounding you from the 360° panoramic platform.

You will never forget the panoramic view of the over 500 mountain peaks stretching from South Tyrol over the Dolomites, the Zillertal, Stubai and Ötztal Alps. After the completion of the new cabin lift "Bergbahn", which seats eight, there will be nine lifts and 25 kilometers of excellently prepared slopes available from the beginning of December until just after Easter.
