serve a hearty "Marende" (a large snack served in
the afternoon, usually consisting of bread, cold cuts and
cheese and sometimes a little wine as well as hot dishes like
"Kaiserschmarn" (pancakes with raisins and powdered
surag) and cooked potatoes).
