Rodenecker parish festival on the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alp in the late summer.

The parish festival is the culmination of the alpine summer in Rodeneck and traditionally begins at 11:00 a.m. with the Holy Mass at the Chapel by the so-called "Pianer Kreuz". This is followed by musical entertainment, prize bowling and "Kirchtagsranggeln". Tyrolean parish church specialties are offered in the huts, snack stations and club stands. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic views and the wide-open spaces of the Rodenecker Alp.

Cattle drive from the mountain pastures in late summer.

When the days get shorter and temperatures drop in the mountains, it's high time for the cattle to return to its cozy stables.
Elaborately decorated cows, sheep and goats go on their "way home" with the shepherds. With bells, straps and colorful adornments, the herds are decorated beautifully.

Thousands of visitors and area natives come to the Almabtrieb in Meransen, one of the largest in South Tyrol.

The cows and other herds coming from the hiking paradise Altfass Valley by Meransen are expected to arrive in the village between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. To celebrate a safe journey home glasses are raised at the big Meranser Farmers Fest. The farmers' wives prepare their specialties right in the festival hall for everyone to partake. There is "Tirtlan" and many kinds of different doughnuts and other delights. There is fun and entertainment for young and old until the evening hours!
