The idyllically located parish church of Meransen is dedicated to the Holy Jakobus and the Holy Three Virgins. The Late Gothic church building built in 1775 with its gothic tower built in 1472 is a meeting point for hikes in and around Meransen.

The Loden Museum in Vintl gives insights to the luxurious world of a mystical fabric. The museum allows you to discover the origin of Loden step by step; from the grazing sheep and the wool, all the way to the milled Loden material.
With modern video installations and historical tools experience the making of Loden fabrics right up close!

The 900-year-old castle Rodenegg is a stone witness of an eventful past. It is home to the oldest secular frescos in german area. Powerful and impregnable it rises high above the Rienz ravine. Draw bridges, walls and pinnacles, courtyard, a weapons room and Iwein frescos bring medieval times to life. Tours are offered almost every day (further information at the Chamber of Tourism).

You can visit the beautiful gardens of Castle Trauttmannsdorf by Meran. During a lively production the visitors experience 200 years of South Tyrolean history of tourism. It is the first museum in the alpine area that ventures to depict the present and past of tourism in the area on a grand scale.
