“Ooh, Mummy, look!”
That’s exactly what your children will exclaim when they see our petting zoo. It’s right next to Huberhof and awaits you and your little ones with ponies and goats. The chickens and rabbits are also worth a visit. This lets children learn from an early age how important the relationship between animals and people is – we’re all about being kind to animals here.
A mini farm for mini people
Yes, as we don’t like comparing our petting zoo to an actual zoo where animals are locked in, we lovingly call it our mini farm. After all. Here, your little ones can get to know the various farm animals that provide us with fresh products every day, while also learning how important animal welfare is. Together, we feel the different types of fur of our animals and can spend plenty of time snuggling with them.

What does everyday farm life look like? Your children can discover it first-hand by joining in with the daily chores and activities out in the meadows: raking hay, feeding the animals, collecting fresh eggs, grooming the horses, or helping care for Huberhof’s mini-farm. The opportunities to pitch in and explore are nearly endless.
Ponies and Haflinger Horses
Gentle Haflingers and lively ponies graze in the meadows below our panoramic hotel. From May to November, our weekly program features guided pony rides for children. The Haflingers, however, are not riding horses—breeding them is our true passion, nurtured with great love and care. A special highlight awaits each spring: the birth of our adorable foals! And if you’d still like to enjoy a ride, nearby riding stables are available—we’ll gladly recommend the best options depending on the season.
Our Alpacas at Huberhof
Gentle, curious, and utterly charming—our alpacas are without doubt the most lovable hosts at Huberhof. Time with them has a calming magic: their soft fleece, unhurried movements, and the fresh mountain air all around. Fun for all ages: at our chicken farm, children can watch the hens scratch, peck, and cluck—and sometimes even collect a fresh egg straight from the nest. Farm life turns into an adventure that teaches and entertains in a playful way. For adults, it also means regional freshness you can taste at breakfast.
