Location

At 1,300 metres above sea level, Huberhof enjoys a setting that comes with real advantages for our guests:

  • Panoramic location: The hotel is set in a მშვიდ? Wait remove. The hotel is nestled in a peaceful, low-traffic area away from the main roads, with uninterrupted 360° views across the Eisack Valley, the Puster Valley and the peaks of the Dolomites.
  • Easy to reach: Despite its quiet setting, the hotel is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Brixen–Pustertal motorway exit.
  • Direct access to the Gitschberg Jochtal region: Guests enjoy free use of the mountain lifts (during selected periods in early summer and autumn), as well as free use of public transport throughout South Tyrol, making it easy to explore the region without a car.
  • Close to hiking trails and the lift station: Hiking routes start right on the doorstep, and in winter our complimentary private ski shuttle takes guests directly to the Gitschberg lift.
  • Sun terrace & gardens: A spacious panoramic sunbathing lawn and inviting outdoor lounging areas make the most of the hotel’s sunny south-facing position.
  • Private meadows and pastureland: One of Huberhof’s defining advantages is its location within its own extensive farmland. As the hotel developed naturally from a traditional farm, it is not surrounded by neighbouring buildings, but by open mountain meadows and private pastures. This protected natural setting offers a rare sense of privacy, space and tranquillity.

Wellness & Spa

  • Twice-daily sauna infusions in the event sauna with panoramic views
  • Spacious sauna area (adults-only area)
  1. The event panorama sauna
This spacious Finnish sauna is ideal for anyone who loves classic sauna heat.
Thanks to its huge glass front, the sauna experience merges with views of the Dolomite peaks.
This is where the daily themed infusions take place. The combination of essential oils, light effects and sweeping views across the Eisack and Puster valleys makes every infusion a special experience.
    Temperature: approx. 90°C.

  2. The traditional Mountain Herb Sauna (Finnish sauna)
Made from local reclaimed wood, this sauna gives off the soothing scent of forest and Alpine herbs. It is ideal for deep cleansing.
The dry heat is especially restorative for the muscles after an active day on the Gitschberg.
Temperature: approx. 75°C with a humidity level of 10 to 25%.

  3. The herbal steam bath & peeling
With high humidity and gentle warmth, tension seems to melt away almost by itself. Alpine herbal extracts have a soothing and liberating effect, while the salt peeling enriched with special oils stimulates circulation and deeply nourishes the skin.
Particularly recommended for guests who find classic dry heat too intense; it also provides intensive skin care.
Temperature: approx. 45°C at 100% humidity.

  4. The bio soft sauna
For beginners or as a gentle start to your wellness evening.
The moderate temperature is easy on the circulation and allows for longer sessions.
Ideal for warming the body gently without putting it under strain.
Temperature: approx. 50 to 60°C with a humidity level of 40 to 50%.

  5. The infrared heat cabin
Targeted infrared heat warms the body from within, with special light settings and adjustable heat intensity.
Suitable for relieving back pain and joint discomfort. The private atmosphere invites you to fully unwind.

  • Relaxation rooms
    • Panorama relaxation room: light-filled relaxation zones with cosy daybeds and floor-to-ceiling glass fronts.
    • Rustic old-wood relaxation room: traditional Alpine relaxation with the scent of local mountain meadows, cosy daybeds and direct access to the panoramic sunbathing lawn.

Adults Only Spa

  • Outdoor cold plunge pool for refreshing cool-downs after the sauna, with private views of the Dolomite peaks.
  • Float above the valley in the outdoor whirlpool (>35°C) in its spectacular hillside setting. Thanks to its exposed position right on the edge of the slope, the whirlpool offers uninterrupted 180-degree views of the striking peaks of the South Tyrolean mountains. Especially in the evening, when the Dolomites glow in soft red tones, bathing in the pleasantly warm water becomes an experience that lets everyday life drift far away.

Wellness service package

  • Complimentary wellness bag with soft bathrobe for the entire duration of your stay.
  • Vital corner: fresh spring water, a selection of teas and apples in the spa area during spa opening hours.
  • Whether from the sauna, the infinity pool or a daybed, the mountains are your constant companion.

Sustainability

  • Farm-to-table principle: some products (eggs, herbs) come directly from the hotel’s own farm or from farmers and producers in the immediate area.
  • Seasonal cuisine: reducing the CO2 footprint by avoiding long-distance imported goods and instead focusing on what South Tyrol’s harvest currently offers.
    • Clean energy & resource conservation
    • Renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies with modern heat recovery systems, such as our combined heat and power plant, energy-saving lighting and sustainable heating methods; photovoltaic and solar systems are already in use at Huberhof.
    • Water management: water is a precious resource, which is why we use water-saving technologies and encourage conscious consumption.
    • Waste management: purchasing unpackaged products, separating waste, using reusable materials and reducing disposable products in order to minimise waste. Unnecessary single-use plastic packaging is avoided throughout the spa and gastronomy areas.
  • Guest communication
    • We raise our guests’ awareness of sustainable behaviour through transparent information and practical tips on how they, too, can contribute to greater sustainability during their stay.
    • Digital processes reduce paper consumption, while sustainable management ensures efficient and resource-conscious operations.
  • Mobility
    • E-mobility infrastructure: in-house charging stations for electric cars (extra charge), allowing you to travel sustainably without worry.

  • Huberhof is South Tyrol Level 3 certified. In South Tyrol, a special label identifies accommodation providers that are demonstrably committed to a sustainable future: the South Tyrol Sustainability Label. Since sustainability is a long-term process, the label is divided into three levels. Each level requires compliance with specific criteria – the third and highest level corresponds to the standards of the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) and is therefore internationally recognised.
  • Huberhof also follows a holistic approach: its sustainability efforts cover all relevant areas of the property. A clear sustainability strategy, a comprehensive action plan, and a system for monitoring and further development are all in place. All relevant sustainability information is communicated transparently, and every field of action is certified by an external body.
