Mother's Day initiative

It's the perfect time to thank "the best mum in the world" for everything she does.

Several countries around the world celebrate their Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. But where did it come from?

In 1870, Mother's Day began as a peace initiative in which the worldwide unity of mothers advocated for peace. Once a year, we stand up for peace and for the unity of mothers.

This Mother's Day, we would like to set a small sign of peace and unity among our mothers. But last but not least, what can each one of us do for peace?
Empathic listening and respecting resolves a dispute without violence, it's in any case a first contribution to peace.

Disputes need solutions that are good for everyone. Individuals or groups of them are instrumental in keeping the peace. Today, more than ever, we stand up for peace - as a common unity of strong women - mothers.

This year, on Mother's Day, let us reflect for a peaceful world and light a candle for all those who are not living in peace. With our Mother's Day initiative #powerfulmothers, we would like to celebrate a different Mother's Day, together with our dear guests and Huberhof friends, a Mother's Day under the sign of peace.
